Title: Track recording limits?
#1
I just finished a delivery down the coast and I was bummed to find that the tracks recorded by iNaxV on my iPad were incomplete.

iNavX was running for almost the entire 600+ mi trip, providing a fix and chart views, but I only got a couple of discontinuous tracks totaling only about 60-70 miles.

Was I doing something wrong? Is iNavX capable of recording the full track of a multi-day, several hundred mile course? The iPad has 64G of memory, and was never close to full.

Thanks!

Currently iNavX has a 1000 track record limit which comes out to about 50NM. When iNavX reaches the 1000 track record limit it starts discarding the oldest track records first. While iPad has plenty of storage space for persistent data, it's RAM (operational) memory is very limited as is iPhone/iPod. For fastest plotting speed, the track is kept in the memory. Going forward with future iNavX releases I will look for ways to increase both track plotting speed and storage optimization to increase the limit.
