Have you noticed that the latest version of the navionics iphone app overlays the nautical charts on google earth, apparently by using the shoreline as a boundary in the vector charts. It's pretty cool.

They did a really nice job with it. You can select no overlay, map overlay, satellite, or hybrid. I shot none, map, and satellite of the Charleston, SC area.

Does this require a net connection to work, or can you download the maps and do this outside a connection? AT&T's coverage around the PacNW is sometimes a little spotty (and don't even try this in Canada, unless you have a very deep pocket!)

Looks great! I think in MacENC this would be great too.
(Another point for the wishlist :-))
