Title: NMEA 2000 and MacENC

MacENC can process received N2K data. In order to interface the Mac to the N2K network:

1) The Actisense NGT-1 is connected to the N2K backbone and the USB port of the Mac.

2) The FTDI driver (Mac OS X USB Driver) is downloaded AND installed..

Restart Mac

3) Connect the Actisense NGT-1 to a USB port on the Mac.

4) RE-Start MacENC.

5) Open the GPS panel by selecting "Connect" on the "GPS" menu.

6) Select the "Settings" button to open the Settings drawer.

7) Select Port as USBSerial-XXX.

8) Select Rate as 115200.

9) Select Type as Actisense NGT-1.

11) Open the Instruments panel by selecting "Connect" on the "Instruments" menu.

12) Select the "Settings" button to open the Settings drawer.

13) Check "Use GPS Port".

14) Open the "AIS/RADAR panel by selecting "Connect" on the "AIS/RADAR" menu.

15) Select the "Settings" button to open the Settings drawer.

16) Check "Use GPS Port".

17) The Instruments and AIS/RADAR panel need not be left open.


MacENC can process the following N2K PGNs ..
