I read on another forum that the more recent GlobalSat BU-353-S4 isn't reliable for WAAS accuracy - errors can be 10 times that of the earlier versions, ie the EGNOS/WAASS seems to be disabled. Does anyone know if that was a false alarm, or has been overcome in more recent firm/hardware?

For marine use I see little advantage to the S4, although USGlobalSat is phasing out the original BU-353.
