Navionics offer the most extensive detailed chart coverage. They are also the fastest rendering charts and most economical.
1) Purchase the Navionics region(s) desired from X-Traverse ..
https://www.x-traverse.com/purchase
2) Activate and download the charts on your Mac following all of these steps ..
http://www.gpsnavx.com/pdf/X-Traverse.pdf
3) Launch MacENC from the "Applications" folder. Note: Requires MacENC version 8 or later and a Mac with an Intel processor.
4) Select "Chart Manager" on the "File" menu.
5) Select "Add Chart Folder..." button.
6) Select the FOLDER where the Navionics region has been downloaded.
7) On the "View" menu select "Navionics Charts" to turn on display of the Navionics charts in the Chart window.

I have a large collection of DMA chart files which I used with The Capn in windows. I attempted to load them into Polarview and MacENC and they are not recognized.
Is there a way to convert these to be readable by these programs?

Hi, I am new to Mac and trying to decide on a virtual windows app for, at least, pactor modem interface. Any suggestions as to what program is better at handling serial to usb and keeping windows isolated from Mac files?

Hi, New to Mac, have downloaded demo versions of MacENC and PolarNavy and am waiting for arrival of a keyspan serial to USB adapter to check out full functionality. Any other Mac charting and nav programs to check out?
I use airmail and will have to use windows (XP?) for pactor op. I have a edgeport2 serial to usb that is stable in native windows operation and wonder whether Fusion or Parallels will be a better option? I would prefer not to reboot to use airmail or other SSB programs.
