I have an idea for a new iPhone/iPad app. I have a technical background, but I don't have the experience to develop iPhone apps. Is there someone who is willing to work with me on this?
Kind regards,
Igor Quik

I am planning to navigate with iPad on an offshore race this weekend, because I can't get my trusty MacBook Air to charge off 12v.
I have replied on MacENC for a few seasons. Any limitations in iNavX I should bear in mind?

BoatLogix Go for iPhone and Mac

BoatLogix Go is a digital Log Book for mariners made for the iPhone !but it also runs on a Mac.
Now you can carry your boat log on both your iPhone and your Mac. BoatLogix Go uses the same database on both devices. You can download the database to your iPhone and use it remotely; then upload your changes to your Mac later. Optionally, setup your Mac as a fileserver and use your iPhone to log changes directly over a WiFi or 3G network. Or simply use it on your iPhone alone.
View or download Quick Start.pdf for more information!

I need to buy a new handheld GPS. I have a fixed Garmin 126 at the chart table, iNavX on the iPhone 3G and a GU-353 for MacENC on the MacBook. But my old Garmin GPS V II that I used in the cockpit died last week. I want a simple, waterproof/resistant unit to replace it. And as a back up to the GU-353, I would like to get one that will work with MacENC without having to use a Keyspan adaptor. Any suggestions?

Fullscreen Numerical Compass App?

I am basically looking for an app that can display the compass bearing in a full screen (or very large) numerical display. Ideally I would download Sailmaster but it is not available in the U.S. according to itunes. I am planning on downloading a similar speedo app but is there is an all in one available in the U.S. that'd be great.
Anything is appreciated.

Routes not DL'ing to Garmin GPS48

After upgrading my iBook to a MacPro and OSX.6 last year I found that I cannot download the routes to my old and trusty Garmin GPS48.
The waypoints transfer fine, but the route doesn't show up. I have the settings set to GARMIN in GPSNavX 5.70 and the 48 set to GARMIN/GARMIN HOST mode. This is always the way I've done it for years now.
Today, after much fiddling, I set the GPS48 to G/G REC all UPS sub mode and got it to transfer the route, but only to spot 0. Any further attempts just overwrite that route. At least it's something, as I'm on a week's cruise.
They are connected via a Keyspan connector serial to USB. I suspect something is amiss there.
Thought I'd try a shout out. Rich has tried to help to no avail. - it's all pretty basic and usually it either transfers or not.
Jack
