MacENC, iNavX Feature Requests

Dear GPSNavX,
I would like to put in a request for the following features in a future version of MacENC:
Growl Notifications (for all alarms/warnings).
More Applescript:
Access to AIS/Radar Target Information
Import/Export Waypoints/Routes/Tracks
NMEA 2000 Data Display/filtering (intentionally arbitrary, simple Graphs/Bars/Value displays)
Also, for iNavX:
Growl/Prowl Redirection (http://prowl.weks.net/api.php)
Many thanks for a great team of apps, I'm excited to continue to see them grow and mature.
Robert

Digi Connect Wi-SP Configuration Guide for iNavX using Mac OS X

iNavX can use marine instrumentation NMEA-0183 data via WiFi. This is in place of the built in "Location Services" If one doesn't want to carry a Mac/PC aboard to serve (broadcast) the data, but instead just wants to have an iPod/iPhone/iPad then there is an answer: The Digi Connect Wi-SP creates a stand alone Ad-Hoc network that iNavX can connect to. You can connect a GPS receiver, AIS transponder or other marine instrumentation to the Wi-SP serial port. The port accepts RS232 (most common) and RS422 input.
Marine Instrumentation NMEA-0183 Data -> Wi-SP -> [WiFi] -> iPod/iPhone/iPad -> iNavX
Configuration Guide..

For a bare-wire connection to the Wi-SP or a Keyspan USB to serial adapter we offer this adapter..

GPSNAVX: questions about grib

So I import grib data but see nothing on screen. The weather function menu does open.
I then tried the grib data via SAILDOCS but it will not accept my syntax for the Great Lakes region.
Regardless I can get grib from other sources, but never see the data after importing. The functionality for requesting wind, wave, temp is greyed out.
Also the HELP states that open grib will grab the data from MAIL APP but this is not true either (even with SAILDOCS) as it must be downloaded to a location from mail app and then imported.
I"m very confused on the true process, requirements and limitation as it pertains to GPSNAVX.
EDIT: I cannot request from within GPSNAVX. So I get grib data from other sources, but doesn't show...so two issues. Cannot request and cannot see.
Does GPSNAVX have a feature shown that only works in ENC?

I have been asked if an external USB GPS will work with iPad via the Camera Connection kit. I have confirmed it does not work. iPad displays the message "The attached USB device is not supported" when a USB GPS is connected. USB keyboards and headphones do work.
The same is true for external Bluetooth GPS receivers and multiplexers, they are not discovered by iPhone, iPod or iPad.

Both iNavX and MacENC can receive NMEA data via TCP/IP. In their respective TCP/IP NMEA data client setups the following host and port can be entered to receive a live AIS feed..

If anyone knows of other hosts, please let us know.

Transferring data to Garmin GPSMap 172c

I have a Garmin GPSMap 172c and spent some time converting the garmin maps to OSX. I called Garmin to find out why base camp wont recognize my data card. Garmin stated that they dont have a driver for these legacy systems. Crap. Without running boot camp and windows.....can I get MacENC data to my Garmin 172c easily?
thanks
Steve
