the wifi ais working time is only 3-5 hours,but the bluetooth ais working time is over 20 hours, i don;t know how to make it,pls help me!ths

Hi everyone, Not sure I'm totally right here.. might have got a crazy idea and disconnected from the real world but here is the data:

I have a Tacktick wind/sound/NMEA system
a Garmin 276C GPS and a raymarine ST1000+ pilot. I've purchased now iAIS system to (I hope) try to get the NMEA output out of the iPad, running of course iNavX.

I'm often sailing singlehanded my FC8 and SWMBO is really worried about the boat sailing away under pilot and me swimming behind her (the boat, of course ;+) )

So I'm looking around and found an interesting kit from the french manufacturer "NKE" who can make some changes to the pilot (but I guess it must be a Gyropilot from the same make) or send some frames through NMEA..

Those frame seem however a bit proprietary to me as in case of MOB the system would send the following sequence

$PMLR,05,01,02,0337*02<cr><lf> Which I guess is to turn the MOB function of the receiver on
and then the following one
$TRWPL,,,,,MOB*21<cr><lf>
Which would be the MOB "priority" waypoint, becoming the next one to follow and therefore have the boat going into the right direction...

If we look now at the (sexier) Raymarine solution, there we see that the system would send a "999" waypoint (??) that would be MOB (???)... what happens next, I do not know + the fact that they claim to be seatalk compatible as well...

Assuming that I'm correct in imagining that the Ipad would be able to give the waypoints to the pilot (instead of the GPS), Is there a way to treat those frames at the iPad/iNavX side ?

I use MacEnc with a USB GPS dongle and it works perfectly.

I want to run some windows-based nav/comm programs, namely Airmail3, navmonPC, and seaclear. I am starting with seaclear.

I have mac drivers installed for the GPS serial-USB converter. I open parallels and configure Serial Port 1. The "Connected" box is checked and the source is /dev/cu.usbserial.
In Seaclear I check COM port 1 and seaclear seems to accept it. I have tried every baudrate, but I don't get any NMEA data stream. I also tried COM port 0.

I seem to have hit a wall. Can anybody help?

I use iCal 4.0.4 as my logbook - simple, free and convenient. I would like to export my events into a durable format for other apps, eg. Word. Has anyone found an app to do this?

Hi, I'm new here and I tried to find any information if PolarCom will be in the future also talking with NMEA2000 ?
I am converting my old GrandBanks analog engine monitoring gauges to be replaced with Abatross boxes that translate analog signals to N2K, and i do not like those expensive Maretron N2KView-applications or multifunction displays because i do not want to have more computers on board than my MacBookPro.
I have understood that NMEA1803 does not support those sentences and those can not be found on PolarCom configuration menus.
This PolarCom is really great projekt to find.
I think future is for N2K and OpenSource - hope we users can support you enough to make this PolarCom better than all traditional marine gadgets.

MacENC does not see my Sirf USB GPS. I had this problem on an older computer and I think I downloaded a "GPS Tool" that solved the problem.

Any ideas?
