1) Open a chart.
a) Select "Setup" (looks like a gear button in upper right hand corner) and set "Pos.Icon Loc." to "None" so the chart will not attempt to scroll back to your position.

2) Select "Routes". Note: "Routes" in on the "Waypoints" tab on iPhone/iPod, otherwise iPad has it's own tab.

3) Select "+" to create a new route or select an existing route.

4) Return to "Chart".


5) New Waypoint:
a) Tap Chart at location of desired waypoint to display a menu.
b) Select "Waypoint" to create a new waypoint.
c) Tap waypoint name on chart.
d) Drag waypoint if new location desired.

OR

6) Existing Waypoint:
a) Tap waypoint name on chart.


7) Tap button with waypoint name to display a menu.

8) Select "Add to Route" to add the selected waypoint to the route.

Repeat steps 5..8 for each waypoint in the route.

If a waypoint needs to be removed, reordered, or inserted return to the "Routes" view and select the route and select "Edit" button. Change as needed then select "Done" button.

Waypoints can also be added to a Route in the route view by selecting the "+" button.

So, in only 1 month I am setting out on a 4 year adventure (read more about this on my profile). Right now my bank account is preatty empty, as I youst have bought a ton of safety gear. When I get out at sea I will have enough money as I then will write for a magazine, and get money from the studying. But now I dont have money to buy all the maps.

From a friend I got maps for MaxSea. They work ok, but I want to use macenc on my mac instead. Is there anyone that can borrow me the Navionics maps to use on macenc? As this is maps I am going to use very much, I want to buy them legally. But I have to wait to 2011 (by then I think I will be able to pay down all bills and have a better economy)

Any tips?

EDIT: I have tryed to contact Navionics to hear if they want to sponsor me, but they havent gotten back to me yet.

ANy ideas how to install the gps driver on my dell mini 9?
GPS Navx works fine, and on my macbook pro gpsnavx and the usb work fine, but no go on the dell.
Each time I try to install the driver it goes through the process very quickly, announces "successfully installed" but on restart the bu 353 is not recognized

(3.0.1) How do I create a route by taping on the chart?
How do I create a route using an existing waypoint but using the chart only and not having to go to the waypoint list?

I am brand-new to inavx for iPad g3. I have racing marks on a garmin 76. Is there a method for transferring other than re-entering? Or sailing to each mark and clicking "new waypoint"?

With the new external antenna (stainless case), GPS reception must be improved over 3G[S]. A much needed improvement.

Am having following issues with new GPSNavX installation on my PowerBook G4:
1. GPS will often not activate/show green. Have solved by: a/ restarting software; or, b/restarting computer.
2. Sometimes software will freeze: can't quit. Must do ForceQuit.
3. Sometimes software windows ("Chart Settings" or "GPS") will freeze; cannot drag or move them.
4. With GPS connected, unable to get autopilot sensing data from the software; ie, cannot use "TRACK" on my AH 7000 autopilot.
