  Feature request
Posted by: Ubbink - September 23, 2012 01:24 - Forum: iNavX - No Replies

Would it be possible to make removal of waypoint easier?
I have several hundreds of them, and with the new routing function of Weather4D am making 100 more of them with a few klicks.
Some ideas:
--when deleting a route: give option of deleting related waypoints
-- in waypointlist give option of marking waypoints and then delete all marked waypoints in one go.

Still very happy user!
Regards,
Joost

I just had to cancel my Tidetech subscription as their GRIBs had become unusable with iNavX.

Shame.

  iNavX and iOS 6
Posted by: jeffaroo42 - September 20, 2012 16:38 - Forum: iNavX - Replies (1)

Can anyone tell me if it safe to install iOS 6 in regards to losing my Navionics charts? I really don't want to go through the hassle of downloading my charts which are more than a year old.

Thanks,
Jeff (SV Mirage) somewhere in SE Asias

  Mr. Tides 4
Posted by: AugustH - September 10, 2012 18:30 - Forum: Mr. Tides - Replies (6)

Mr. Tides 4.0 has gone to Golden Master status. All known bugs have been fixed, everything is working, and once I get the web site up and running, it will be released. Many thanks to everyone who's been helping with the app, I couldn't have done it without you!

The GM version can be found at http://www.mrtides.com/alpha.html (it's not alpha, of course, but it's easier to leave that as-is for now).

  MacENC sail timer
Posted by: antipole - September 10, 2012 13:37 - Forum: MacENC & GPSNavX - No Replies

I have finally got to grips with the sail timer function of MacENC- and very helpful it was on a long tack across the IJsselmeer today.

It seems to flip to the other tack and back at regular intervals, sometimes every few seconds. This is not a problem in itself, as it lets me see what would happen on the other tack, but the connected iPad running iNavX is continuously announcing a new waypoint activation, such that it is almost impossible to use it. Any suggestions?

Also, how can I turn off the sail timer? The only way I have found is to use the 'cancel goto' button in the sail timer window, but that cancels the main goto and route. I need to fall back onto the current waypoint in the current route without the sail timer function.

Any suggestions welcome
Tony

Feature request - notes in chart
Posted by: old_tar - September 3, 2012 11:47 - Forum: iNavX - No Replies

Would it be possible to add notes into the chart? Notes should contain free text like own corrections observed or additional information I would like to see in this chart (bridge openings, phone no., lokal VHF Channel, piloting information ). These notes would probably be connected to a certain geographical position, but unlike waypoints they won't have go to, distance and so on.

  Waypoint and route management
Posted by: johanwes - September 2, 2012 13:32 - Forum: iNavX - Replies (1)

I have some additional suggestions for improving iNavX regarding managing waypoints and routes:

1) Search bar in the routes list. Similar as in waypoint list.
2) Multiple deletion of waypoints and routes. Similar functionality as in the Mail program. The reason of this is e.g. if you by misstake have imported a number of waypoints or routes (I did...) and want a simple deletion.
3) Grouping of waypoints and routes, as earlier proposed

Anyone else having the same thoughts?

Otherwise, thanks for a very nice app!

  Chart management ?
Posted by: Jdelveau - August 29, 2012 09:20 - Forum: iNavX - Replies (1)

Hi All,

Just started using inavx on the iPad and have a question.

Is there a better way to manage charts than to select and download one at a time? For instance, I will be traveling from Mobile bay down to Tampa along the ICW. I have already downloaded the group from mobile to Tampa. But, for each single chart I get the option to download the entire gulf set. If I do that, how can I delete the charts to the west of mobile?

I am having the same issue with the inland river section from mobile to Muscatine, Iowa. Is there a group or mark and delete function?

Thanks

Jim
