Map option on iPad but not iPhone(?)
Posted by: dbeiley - June 12, 2012 17:52 - Forum: iNavX - Replies (6)

The map option which normally displays a Google earth image of a specified point only works on the iPad, not the iPhone. Google earth was present as an app on both devices when iNavX was first installed.
Is there a setting I'm not seeing?

If you are using a GPS receiver which has a serial connection (i.e. Garmin) you can use the following cable to connect the GPS receiver to iNavX ..

The Right USB GPS for Navionics
Posted by: sailhound - June 8, 2012 18:35 - Forum: Hardware - Replies (2)

I am running Nav Gold on a Macbook Pro and I am looking for a good compatible USB GPS unit. Is the BU-353 the way to go? And if I have the macbook, MacEnc and Nav Gold, is there anything else I need besides the BU-353 to get operational? No other accounts, subscriptions, etc?

Thanks!
Alex

Why I get a slightly different position on my iPad with INav-x and on the Raymarine MFD C-90? How can I fix that?
Thank you

  Waypoints groups feature request
Posted by: FF44 - June 3, 2012 07:37 - Forum: iNavX - Replies (1)

I have stored at this time more than a hundred of waypoints with iNavX. I would like the ability to create waypoints folders to manage it as with GPSNavX/MacENC.
One more thing for the ToDo List Wink

Posted by: atinoue - June 2, 2012 07:56 - Forum: iNavX - Replies (2)

I have Navionics Gold Japan and Pcific Ilands in both 2010 and 2011 edition in my iPad.
When I see chart list, I can't recognize which is which..
Is there any way to get the chart info?
And is there way to delete the older one from iPad?

  Feauture request - blank charts
Posted by: peterpj - June 2, 2012 02:03 - Forum: iNavX - No Replies

I have iNavX installed on iPad and iPhone, with Navionics 46XG charts installed on the iPad only. I do not want to have to buy a separate copy of the Navionics charts for the iPhone but would like to use it in the same way as I do the iPad version for graphical AIS, waypoint and instrument display when in open water. The World Chart contained within USA East etc. doesn't help since the maximum zoom is 800%.

Please could we either be able to use the chart display without a chart installed, or be able to install a blank or simple outline vector chart for this purpose?

regards, Peter

  Raster and vector charts
Posted by: larryinvictoria - June 1, 2012 22:09 - Forum: iNavX - Replies (1)

I am currently using iNavX with CHS raster charts for the east coast of vancouver island and am very happy with it but I would like to be able to use vector charts as well. Is it possible to download and use Navionics vector charts in iNavX and sort of be able to switch back and forth between them and the raster charts I already have?
