USA NOAA update in the Marine GeoGarage

Been using this on my old Powerbook G4. With GPS NavX and Mac Enc. Now have both running on my MPPro - Lion.
The Help Screens on both of these show links to get the drivers for the Keyspan 19HS. But when I click on these links, I get NOTHING.

I've tried everywhere on the net to get the driver for my OS10.7

Ric - do you have this driver pkg. that you could send to me?

Or where I can get it?

I have configured Expedition to send NMEA over TCP server, and have successfully connected to the server with iNavX.

When i go to the TCP page in iNavX, i see the data stream in the green window, but the data doesn't display in the app.

the connection closes after about 10 lines of data.

my data doesn't look like correct NMEA data:

any ideas about how i can get it to work?

Another one to use with iNavX..

NMEA-2-WIFI spec.

iNavx works fine when using the built in GPS on my iPad 2, but when I connect it to my Brookhouse iMux ST the COG is 180 degrees out and the 'own vessel' symbol points the wrong way.
COG on my Seatalk instruments displays correctly so it is within iNavx that it is going astray.

Has anyone else had this?

Has anyone figured out how to print a route with lat, long, bearing and distance? I could not so used command/shift/4 and took the picture.
I wish we could just print when the route list was shown and selected.

Hi! I am having difficulty getting iNavX on my iPhone to received the NMEA data stream from MacENC.

It used to work fine. But since i got an iPad (2012) I cannot get the data stream. I am not certain it is connected with the iPad, but it was about that time I noted it had stopped working.

The iPad receives the data stream fine. The iPhone connects, and immediately says 'Connected' but no green data (or any other colour) shows up, and eventually the link disconnects. I have tried it without the iPad connected, in case there is a problem with two listeners, but that makes no difference. I have compared the two 'TCP/IP NMEA Client' windows side-by-side and can see no difference - the same Host TCP/IP address (100.100.100.100), the same Port (2114) and all the other settings the same (other than the iPad-only ones missing from the iPhone, of course).

Any advice or suggestions would be most welcome.

Typically, I prepare for a passage using MacENC and then, when ready to sail, turn on my instrumentation system (not earlier to save power). At this point I discover on opening the GPS window that MacENC does not have the Actisense NMEA 2000 interface set up. I have found no way around this, short of quitting MacENC and re-launching - an irritation when I need to focus on getting under way.

Does anybody know any way of getting MacENC to do its initialisation of the Actisense interface? Rich: could MacENC spot the interface appearing and do its thing then, rather than on launch? Otherwise, some way of forcing it, perhaps when opening the GPS/Instrumentation windows would be desirable.

This is not a major problem, but a solution would really help with usability - thanks

When installing the same map on my backup iPad no problem
Any idea ?
